Decontamination, Welfare & Hygiene Units

Thermac supply a range of fully self-contained decontamination trailers and asbestos decontamination / welfare units for hire. They are for use by contractors who are required to provide temporary site Hygiene, Decontamination and Welfare facilities for their personnel onsite.

In addition to the trailers, we can provide a range of Modular Decontamination Units, where space constraints prohibit the use of mobile Decontamination Units. All of our asbestos decontamination units are for hire. Contact us if you’d like information on purchasing a decontamination unit.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between a decontamination unit and a decontamination welfare unit?
A decontamination unit is divided into clean and dirty sections, ensuring that operatives shower and change each time they pass through the unit to minimise the risk of contamination. A decontamination welfare unit includes a decontamination area, canteen and toilet.
Can I purchase modular decontamination units, or are they only available for hire?
Thermac decontamination units are available for both hire and purchase.
How do I choose between mobile and modular decontamination units?
The choice between mobile and modular decontamination units depends on your requirements. Modular units need to be assembled on-site, and are regularly used in confined spaces, such as basements, lofts and small rooms. They can also reduce the length of the transit route between the area being treated and the decontamination unit. Mobile units are road-towable, and require minimal setup once you arrive to site.
Do you provide setup and training for the decontamination units?
Thermac prepares each decontamination unit before hire and provides specific instructions and training to ensure operatives are familiar with its features.
